On Sunday morning, we headed off to Maddiston Salvation Army (between Livingston and Falkirk) where we were to lead Sunday morning Worship. (The crest pictured is from the back of the platform at Maddiston). Our good friends Bert and Pat Kidd have recently been appointed as Lieutenants there and we were more than happy to help them out as they enjoyed a well earned holiday. The Corps is small but, as we were to discover, has a real passion for Jesus and for the continuing ministry of The Salvation Army. We made some good friends during our time there, who were all really encouraging and will all be telling Bert and Pat to invite us back again! Not a problem - will happily go back to share with them in worship again. They loved Kathryn and whilst I felt she hadn't been as quiet as she could have been, they were pleased to see children in worship with them - says it all really.
Anyway, Carol-Anne's sermon "Walking on Water" can be heard here together with the Bible Reading which was Matthew 14:22-33.
It was really good to be leading worship together outside of Glenrothes and we look forward to our next outing - whenever that may be! (Have to add - probably not before our second child has arrived!!)
