Our fine four fendered friend

What a show and what a car! Went to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Edinburgh Playhouse last night and loved it! This tour version of it has Joe McFadden as Caractacus Potts, Marissa Dunlop as Truly Scrumptious, and Gregor Fisher - yes good old Rab C - as Grandpa Potts. Everyone was on good form and we had a good sing-a-long to the famous songs. And the flying car was brilliant - a great theatrical spectacle. Some of the dancing was a bit suspect but that didn't detract from a really good evening. One thing that helped the evening go well, was that it wasn't very full so we moved forward about 20 rows to a much better seat that probably cost more than we paid!!! Obviously Monday night is the night to go! It's on at the Playhouse until 24 February so if you get the chance, go and see it!

Great show, isn't it?

I was trying hard to see how they lifted the car up... it was fairly fairly whizzing around the stage so I wanted to see how it was done.

Sadly, due to well-thought-out lighting and such like I couldn't see a thing :)

I thought I'd worked it out at the end of act 1 cos I saw the stars disappear and reappear in sequence but then the theory was blown at the end of act 2 because i could see right under it. It must just be magic!!!!!
